WASHINGTON: U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 8 pounds of cocaine on Friday evening at the Presidio Port of Entry. We’re told the drugs were hidden beneath the center console of a 2004 Chevy Colorado pickup truck.
Authorities said the drugs were found after a K-9 dog alerted to the drugs. The driver, a 40-year-old Mexican national, was arrested and turned over to Immigration and Custom Enforcement (HSI) agents to face federal prosecution for the failed smuggling attempt.
