NEW YORK: U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers on Wednesday arrested Alfredo Olivares-Ballesteros, 47, for trying to smuggle $76,000 worth of pot into the United States.
Officers inspected Olivares-Ballesteros’ truck and found multiple packages of marijuana.
Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and referred Olivares-Ballesteros, who is from Mexico, to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
