NEW YORK: United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency says officers seized just under 20 pounds of cocaine that was concealed inside the cargo hold of a flight that arrived at the Philadelphia International Airport from Montego Bay, Jamaica.

On Tuesday, CBP said agents made no arrests following the drug find on the flight that landed on Saturday.

“Narcotics interdiction remains a CBP enforcement priority, and a mission that we take very seriously. We are pleased that these dangerous drugs will not reach our city’s streets,” said Susan Stranieri, CBP Port Director for the Area Port of Philadelphia.

She said CBP officers conducted a cabin sweep and a cargo hold inspection after the aircraft arrived about 6:00 pm Saturday.
