NEW YORK: Federal authorities have arrested an Arizona woman accused of trying to smuggle 56 pounds of marijuana in the gas tank of her car.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized the drugs on Sunday. They say 35-year-old Christina Leifried, a U.S. citizen from a Phoenix suburb, tried to bring the drugs in while crossing from the Lukeville port of entry.
