WASHINGTON: A Mexican national was arrested for attempting to smuggle nearly 62 pounds of marijuana through the Port of Naco.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers referred a Ford SUV, driven by a 38-year-old Mexican woman for further inspection and found 29 packages of marijuana valued at approximately $30,000. Officers seized the drugs and vehicles, and referred the driver, from Naco, Sonora, Mexico, to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
