NEW YORK: U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents arrested two people Dec. 18 after they found liquid methamphetamine inside a vehicle trying to enter the United States from Mexico.
According to a press release, a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria being driven by a 20-year-old Houston woman was stopped at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry on Dec. 18. Agents found two boxes containing 15 bottles of what authorities believed to be methamphetamine. Agents also found a small amount of cocaine on the 19-year-old Houston man who was a passenger in the vehicle.
Authorities said the methamphetamine weighed a total of 95.8 pounds.
Both the driver and passenger were turned over to Homeland Security authorities for federal prosecution, CBP said. The names of the driver and passenger were not released.
