PHARR: U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Pharr International Bridge arrested a woman, a United States citizen from Coquimatlán, Colima, Mexico after discovering 2.08 kgs. (five pounds) of alleged crystal methamphetamine concealed on her body.
“I applaud our CBP officers for their dedication as they continue to keep our homeland safe from alleged attempts to smuggle hard narcotics,” said Port Director Efrain Solis Jr., Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas Port of Entry.
On June 08, CBP officers encountered a 19-year-old female, United States citizen from Colima, Mexico as she attempted to enter the United States from Mexico in a taxi. After referring her for further inspection and with the assistance of a canine team, officers discovered four packages of suspected narcotics concealed on her body. CBP OFO seized the four packages of alleged methamphetamine which have an estimated street value of $92,000.
CBP OFO arrested the woman who was turned over to the custody of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents for further investigation.
