LONDON: The U.S. dollar stayed firm in the upper 119 yen range Wednesday morning in Tokyo on brisk U.S. housing data released overnight, but its upside was limited as worries continued about the global economic outlook amid a slowdown in China.
At noon, the dollar fetched 119.88-89 yen compared with 119.79-89 yen in New York and 119.64-66 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
