US dollar slides 29 paisa to Rs160.62 in interbank

KARACHI: The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee strengthened by 29 paisa against US dollar in the interbank trading on Wednesday and closed at Rs 160.62 against the previous day’s closing of 160.91.

However, according to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs 160.30 and Rs 161.30 respectively.

Meanwhile, the currency gained 34 paisa against the Pound Sterling as the day s closing quote stood at PKR 208.91 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 209.25 per GBP.

Similarly, the greenback strengthened by Rs1.1 against EUR which closed at Rs 188.82 at the interbank market.
