TOKYO: The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 120 yen range early Friday in Tokyo, little changed from its levels overnight in New York.
At 9 a.m., the dollar fetched 120.76-77 yen compared with 120.74-84 yen in New York and 120.61-63 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The euro was quoted at $1.0670-0670 and 128.85-86 yen against $1.0655-0665 and 128.68-78 yen in New York and $1.0708-0711 and 129.16-20 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
In New York on Thursday, the dollar slightly regained lost ground on continued expectations the U.S. Federal Reserve will raise interest rates within the year. But it was also under pressure after the central bank cautioned Wednesday a stronger dollar has been slowing U.S. exports, market analysts said.
