GREENVILLE: Two men are behind bars and a kilo of cocaine is off the streets following a month-long anti-drug trafficking drive.
A 37 year old Mario Alberto Gonzalez-Aguirre and 32 year old Pedro Antonio Gonzalez-Lopez were charged with multiple counts of trafficking in cocaine. The men are natives of Nayarit, Mexico. However, their current home of record is Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Investigators said the two had traveled from Chapel Hill to Greenville. They were arrested in the area of Greenville Blvd and Hooker Road. Both men were placed in the Pitt County Detention Center under $2.5 million secure bonds.
