INDIANA STATE: Indiana State Excise Police Officers have seized contraband cocaine and clutched two Indiana policemen for cocaine possession and cited a Northeastside bar for drug related violations here the other day.
Excise officers were investigating a tip from the Lawrence Police Department that drugs were allegedly being sold from inside La Movidita, 4212 N. Post Road.
During an inspection of the bar, powder cocaine was located in the kitchen, police said. Excise officers then seized 50 individually wrapped packages of cocaine and $125.
Two patrons were also arrested during the course of the investigation. Both men were booked into the Marion County Jail on the preliminary felony charges of possession of cocaine.
Police said La Movidita was issued an administrative violation against their Alcoholic Beverage permit for public nuisance.
