NEW YORK: The Department of Agriculture hopes that US food sales to Cuba reach similar levels before the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
The report just published by the Department of Agriculture under the title “US-Cuba agricultural trade: past, present and possible future” puts an eye on the current situation and future economic prospects that open with the restoration of bilateral diplomatic relations.
The USDA expects current exports to triple similar to those sold to Dominican Republic, with emphasis on products such as rice, wheat, milk powder, cheese, dried beans or soybean oil that to now the island imported from other countries.
