SEATTLE: A US man has been sentenced to 46 months in jail for filing more than $1.8 million in false income tax refunds.
According to the US Attorney’s office, 33-year-old Seeney Ristick, resident of Tacoma, Washington, pleaded guilty in June to filing fake income tax returns between 2008 and 2013. The accused was sentenced by US District Judge Benjamin Settle. Ristick launched a fake scheme and gave fake papers and forms to different tax preparation firms in Western Washington. He then told them to file the bogus tax returns in his and others names. Rustick filed 524 fake tax returns.
