WASHINGTON: US polystyrene (PS) exports for September were up by 21% from the same month a year ago, according to data made available this week by the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
The increase was the result of more volumes shipped to Mexico, according to the data. Month on month, exports rose by 8% in September, the ITC said. Year to date, exports rose by 2% in September. US PS producers include Americas Styrenics, Styrolution and Total Petrochemicals.
