ALASKA: Roberta Lopez Suter has been hired as the director of marketing and communications (M&C) for Trico Electric Cooperative(TEC), Inc., which is a nonprofit electric cooperative serving more than 40,000 customers in northwest Tucson, Marana, Corona de Tucson, Sahuarita, Green Valley, Three Points and Arivaca. Formed in 1945, Trico is owned by the people it serves.
Lopez Suter holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Arizona. She has worked as a reporter at the Tucson Citizen, a public relations manager in the hospitality industry and most recently as a public information officer for the city of Tucson for 19 years.
While with the city, she worked for the community relations office, Channel 12, the city manager’s office and Tucson Water. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Southern Arizona Chapter and is accredited in public relations. She is also a board member for the Marana Chamber of Commerce.
