LONDON: Wall Street was set for a positive open on Wednesday, with futures inching higher on the back of a weaker dollar and with investors looking ahead to key data later in the week.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average YMM5, +0.34% gained 47 points, or 0.3%, to 17,814, while those for the S&P 500 index ESM5, +0.38% picked up 6.65 points, or 0.3%, to 2,086.75. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index NQM5, +0.41% climbed 14.50 points, or 0.3%, to 4,446.00.
The projected gains come after a choppy session Tuesday, when the main indexes ended almost unchanged. However, the S&P 500 index SPX, +0.04% eked out a razor-thin gain that saw it snap a three-day losing streak.
