CALIFORNIA: Nohe served as the mayor of Vienna from 1997-2012 and was elected to the West Virginia State Senate (WVSS) in 2010, where he served as both mayor and state senator. In the Legislature, Nohe served on the Judiciary Committee for five years and was chairman of the Banking and Insurance Committee and vice-chairman of the Energy, Industry and Mining Committee.
He served as a former detective with the Wood County Sheriff’s Department and acquired a certificate of training with the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Agency. In a press release, Tomblin said Nohe’new role new position will allow him to continue serving the people of the Mountain State.
“From serving in his hometown community to representing constituents on a state-wide level, David’s professional background exemplifies a life of public service,” Tomblin said. “I believe he will continue to serve the people of West Virginia well in his new role on the West Virginia Parole Board (WVPB).”Nohe also prepared a statement expressing his appreciation.
