TEXAS: A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper has seized more than $3.7 million worth of synthetic marijuana during a North Texas traffic stop.
DPS says more than 300,000 grams of synthetic marijuana was found during the traffic stop Tuesday on US-287 near Iowa Park, located about 13 miles west of Wichita Falls.
DPS says that after the trooper pulled the U-Haul truck over for a traffic violation, the trooper saw signs of criminal activity. During a search, the trooper found 38 boxes containing the synthetic marijuana in the back of the vehicle.
The driver, who was from California, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance over 400 grams. The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from California to Houston.
