ROCK SPRINGS: The Wyoming Highway Patrol says officers seized over $138,000 in cash from an Oroville woman on Halloween.
The Highway Patrol announced that officers stopped a Chevy sedan at about 10 a.m. on Saturday for speeding on Interstate 80 east of Rock Springs.
The patrol states that a drug-sniffing dog alerted to the presence of a controlled substance in the car and a search found the cash and a small amount of methamphetamine.
Officers issued Tong Xiong, 37 of Oroville a misdemeanor citation for possession of the drugs and she and two others in the car were released.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration assisted with the case and has taken over custody of the cash.
