NEW YORK: The Nexus 5 was discontinued after it was removed from the Google Play Store a few weeks ago, many saying that with the limited success the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 are having, and the entire Nexus line might end up being scraped. The Nexus 5, on the other hand, seems to be back in stock and users can order it from the Google Play Store for its original list price.
Users can get the Nexus 5 shipped out in 1 or 2 business days and they will have to scrape up $350 for the 16 GB version and $400 for the 32 GB version, which seem like reasonable prices at the moment. Still, Google might have done well to discount the phone more, at least to balance out the tables a bit.
Even though users can buy a Nexus 5 from other online retailers, getting it from the Google Play Store is the favourite option of many Americans and otherwise. Users can only get the black version, though, but that shouldn’t be a problem as it is reportedly the most popular variant out there anyway.
The Nexus 5 is an acclaimed Smartphone praised mostly because of its stock Android OS. Since Google has already sent out Android 5.0 Lollipop to the device, users will be getting the latest and greatest features if they decided to buy now.
The Nexus 5 comes with a 4.95 inch True HD IPS+ display with a 1080*1920 resolution, Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 8 MP cameras with optical image stabilization and LED flash, 1.3 MP front camera.
