DUBLIN: Five half-hour TV shows profiling the runners and riders for this year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year will be broadcast exclusively by UTV Ireland over the autumn.
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony at Dublin’s CityWest Hotel on October 22, which will be broadcast as a one-hour special.
Beginning in September, the series will profile 24 business owners who have displayed exceptional entrepreneurial skills in Ireland and abroad, examine entrepreneurship in Ireland and detail the stories behind the finalists.
The 24 finalists have been selected by an independent panel of judges made up of former winners and chaired by businesswoman Anne Heraty of CPL Resources. UTV Ireland’s Michael Wilson said that the programme is “committed to supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and business owners in Ireland”.
The head of the series, Kevin McLoughlin, said: “We are looking forward to bringing these incredible stories of innovation and entrepreneurship to life for viewers across the island of Ireland.” The awards are divided into three categories – emerging, industry and international.
