Appraisement West collects Rs 23.961b taxes/duties in September

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate MCC Appraisement West collected at least Rs 23.961 billion taxes/duties under various heads in the month of September 2015.

According to statistics available with the Customs Today, the MCC Appraisement West collected Rs 8012 million under the head of customs duty, while Rs 12,334 million under the head of sales tax, Rs 3,376 million as income tax and Rs 239 million under head of federal excise duty during the month of September 2015.

Significantly, the MCC Appraisement West collected Rs 6,844 million on the last working day of September 2015 i.e. September 30 that include Rs 982  million under the head of customs duty; Rs 5,391 million under head of sales tax; Rs 452 million as income tax and Rs 20 million as federal excise duty.

At all, the MCC Appraisement West has so far collected Rs 59,788 million taxes/duties since August 1 to September 30, 2015 that included Rs 20,403 million under head of customs duty; Rs 28,690 million as sales tax; Rs 10,144 million as income tax and Rs 551 million under head of federal excise duty.
