The conference was organized with the objective of expanding trade and economic cooperation, developing joint investment projects, and establishing direct partnerships between the business communities of the two countries.

On the first day of the international event, Tashkent hosted the Uzbekistan–Pakistan Business Forum, along with B2B (business-to-business) and B2G (business-to-government) meetings, as well as presentations highlighting Uzbekistan’s investment opportunities and export potential.

The Uzbekistan–Pakistan Business Forum brought together entrepreneurs and business leaders active in a range of sectors, including industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, textiles, logistics, construction, information technology, and tourism.

The event was officially opened with welcoming remarks by the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and by Usman Shaukat, President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), along with other senior officials.

Representatives from both sides emphasized the importance of developing economic ties, expanding joint projects, and strengthening direct cooperation.

They noted that Uzbekistan has created an open, modern, and business-friendly environment for investors, with projects under the framework of regional interconnectivity being actively supported.

The discussions highlighted the potential to increase trade volume between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, implement joint initiatives, and enhance collaboration in strategic sectors.

Key areas identified for development include agriculture, textiles, energy, information technology, digitalization, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and logistics, reflecting significant untapped opportunities for bilateral economic cooperation.

Furthermore, delegates highlighted the need to broaden bilateral economic relations, aiming to raise the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Pakistan to USD$ 2 billion in the near term.

Attention was also given to the potential for jointly producing goods designed to substitute imports and generate export-oriented products, reflecting the strategic economic cooperation between the two nations.

As part of the forum’s program, a series of presentations showcased Uzbekistan’s investment potential and the supportive environment established to facilitate foreign investment, underscoring the country’s commitment to attracting international partners.

The forum also facilitated a series of B2B and B2G meetings between Uzbek and Pakistani business leaders. At the conclusion of these discussions, the participants reached agreements to advance joint manufacturing, expand trade, and implement collaborative investment projects, marking a significant step in bilateral economic cooperation.

The forum concluded with the signing of Memoranda of Cooperation: one between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), and another between the RCCI and the private enterprise “Sky Electric”, marking a concrete step toward enhanced bilateral trade and investment collaboration.

Furthermore, key agreements were signed to foster collaboration and strategic partnerships among several enterprises, including “Caraway Pharmaceuticals” with “Perfect Future Medicine”, “Neutrics Global (Pvt) Ltd with ANT Group”, and Pak World Trade & Expo Centre with BMCA, strengthening bilateral business and investment ties.

The signed agreements are aimed at establishing enduring strategic partnerships between Uzbek and Pakistani entrepreneurs, serving as a catalyst for the continued expansion of bilateral economic ties and collaborative ventures.

As part of the Pakistani business delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan, a formal ceremony was held in Tashkent to present the “36th RCCI International Achievement Awards”, recognizing outstanding contributions in trade, industry, and international business cooperation.

Among the distinguished attendees was Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, highlighting the high-level governmental support for the event.

The awards honored companies demonstrating outstanding achievements across key sectors, including pharmaceuticals, construction, IT, agriculture, textiles, tourism, and trade (exports and imports). Among the laureates were business representatives from both Uzbekistan and Pakistan, reflecting the forum’s emphasis on strengthening bilateral commercial ties.

Held each year under the auspices of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), the awards feature distinguished categories including “Businessman of the Year”, “Company of the Year”, “Exporter of the Year”, as well as the “Innovation and Technology Award”, recognizing exceptional contributions to business and industry.
