Valuation Dept to fix customs value of vehicles on Nov 20

KARACHI: A meeting to determine the Customs values of China origin mini vans, mini cargo vans, mini trucks, prime mover trucks, vans/mini buses, cars and rigid trucks would be held at the Conference Hall of the Directorate General of Customs Valuation on November 20.

The Directorate has written a letter to the additional collectors of Model Customs Collectorates of Appriasment East, West and Port Muhammad Bin Qasim to examine the matter and send their inputs to assess value and specifications of the said vehicles.

The letter says that the Directorate had written a similar letter to the three Collectorates on September 22, 2014 and October 2, 2014 asking them to examine the matter and send the inputs but they had not replied yet.

“You are, therefore, once again reminded to kindly expedite the matter in order to finalize the issue, the letter concluded.
