Valuation DG issues guidelines for grey fabric

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue’s Directorate of Customs Valuation has issued valuation guidelines for grey fabric.

The Customs Valuation director general issued the guidelines after a satisfactory market surveys and examination of clearance data.

During the scrutiny of previous clearance of data, it was detected that grey fabric falling under PCT 5407 were being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side. Later, the DG, after carefully examination of the clearance data and conducting market surveys, issued the reference values or valuation guidelines as $7.5/kg for 30 to 60 grams/metre (10%-+) unfinished/un-dyed/un-bleached/polyester grey fabric of UAE origin.
