Valuation ruling of new branded heavy motorcycles issued

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has determined the Customs values of new branded heavy motorcycles through Valuation Ruling No. 672/2014 under Section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969.

According to the details, the Valuation Ruling No.672/2014 of the branded motorcycles consisted of Table-A and Table-B. The Table-A consists of branded motorcycles made by Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Triumph, KTM and BMW having engine capacity from 250CC to 500CC, 501CC to 650CC, 651CC to 900CC, 901CC to 1000CC and above 1000CC.

The Customs values of motorcycles (250CC to 500CC) having PCT 8711.5090 and proposed PCT for WeBOC is 8711.5090.1000 are US$10.92 in 2009; US$10.92 in 2010; US$10.92 in 2011; US$11.19 in 2012 and US$11.47 in 2013.

The Customs values of motorcycles (501CC to 650CC) having PCT 8711.5090 and proposed PCT for WeBOC is 8711.5090.1100 are fixed at US$9.86 in 2009; US$10.56 in 2010; US$10.63 in 2011; US$10.83 in 2012; US$10.85 in 2013.

The Customs values of motorcycles (651CC to 900CC) having PCT 8711.5090 and proposed PCT for WeBOC is 8711.5090.1200 are fixed at US$8.64 in 2009; US$9.10 in 2010; US$9.10 in 2011; US$9.30 in 2012 and US$9.30 in 2013.

The Customs values of motorcycles (901CC to 1000CC) having PCT 8711.5090 and proposed PCT for WeBOC is 8711.5090.1300 are fixed at US$8.30 in 2009; US$8.98 in 2010; US$9.21 in 2011; US$9.44 in 2012 and US$9.51 in 2013.

The Customs values of motorcycles above 1000CC having PCT 8711.5090 and proposed PCT for WeBOC is 8711.5090.1400 are fixed at US$6.21 in 2009; US$6.21 in 2010; US$6.29 in 2011; US$6.34 in 2012 and US$6.41 in 2013.

According to the Table-B, the customs values of Harley Davidson (above 1000CC) having PCT 8711.5090 and proposed PCT for WeBOC is 8711.5090.1500 has fixed at US$8.13 in 2009; US$8.13 in 2010; US$8.24 in 2011; US$8.31 in 2012 and US$8.40 in 2013.

It is pertinent to mention here that the said Valuation Ruling has superseded the Valuation Ruling No. 544/2013 dated 10-05-2013 and its corrigendum issued on dated 04-06-2013.
