Vehicle loaded with NDP items taken into possession by Peshawar Customs

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Customs has impounded a vehicle loaded with Rims (size 12*5), tyres, welding electrode rods, Samsung LED TV 24″ and Sony Bravo TV 32″ along with other foreign origin NDP goods on Monday on a special direction given by Collector Customs at the Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar.

The sources on Monday informed Customs Today that the Mobile Units of Peshawar Customs have also impounded AC Jali for LTV vehicles along with shock absorbers with hubs and door rubbers.

The Peshawar Customs also impounded axils for LTV vehicles, chamta for LTV vehicles and horns for LTV vehicles.

The Peshawar Customs also took into possession a vehicle loaded with side mirrors for LTV vehicles along with other body parts of cars which had been seized during a routine checking at GT Road.

The total seizure will earn a profit of Rs0.5million for the national exchequer which has been lauded by Collector Customs Gul Rahman.

The Peshawar Customs has also seized three kg of hashish and two kg of opium along with a vehicle at Ring Road. The drug is of fine quality being smuggled into Islamabad.

The value of total seizure made by the Peshawar Customs is Rs2.5million in the local market.
