LAHORE: Senior lawyer of Pakistan Supreme Court Mian Abdul Ghaffar Wednesday night passed away after short illness.
Mian Abdul Ghaffar was expert in customs and revenue related cases, as he spent nearly 40 years in this profession. He died of heart attack and was laid to rest on Thursday. His funeral prayer was offered at his residence.
After his sad demise, all lawyers of the Customs Court boycotted the court proceedings on Thursday. Almost 19 different cases were adjourned for next dates on the day. The cases including pre-arrest bail pleas of Muhammad Kamal Subhani, Slaman Dawood and Imran Pirzada were also scheduled for hearing that has also been adjourned until next hearing.
