Vice Minister SUN Yibiao meets Kazakhstan official, ports along China-Kazakhstan border discussed

HONG KONG: Vice Minister SUN Yibiao met with Mr. G. Amrin, Vice Chairman of the Commission of National Revenue of Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Yining, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

On behalf of Minister YU Guangzhou, Vice Minister SUN expressed warm welcome to Vice Chairman Amrin. Vice Chairman Amrin shared his research on the ports along China-Kazakhstan border and put forward his proposals on expanding the Green Channel Pilot Project, strengthening law enforcement cooperation, providing better clearance service to enterprises and promoting the exchanges of price information.

Vice Minister SUN spoke highly of the significant role, played by the two level cooperation mechanism of both the Customs administrations and border Custom, in promoting the bilateral cooperation and agreed with Vice Chairman Amrin’s proposals. He stressed that Customs cooperation between the two countries was of crucial importance and hoped the two sides intensify contact in law enforcement cooperation, exchange of price information and AEO mutual recognition so as to promote the economic development of the two countries. He also invited Mr. Amrin to attend the Forum of Customs Heads of the countries and regions along the Silk Road in Xi’an next year.
