Vietnam has great potential for Pakistani products

KARACHI: Vietnam has great potential to Pakistani products, Head of Vietnam Trade Mission in Pakistan Vu Viet Dzung Second Secretary.

During a visit to FPCCI he proposed that FPCCI should sign MoU with Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry VCCI to establish JBC. He also proposed to include fishery sector in the FPCCI trade delegation to Vietnam. He also offered visa to the participants of delegation at the earliest. He lauded FPCCI for choosing Vietnam as priority country to visit

Pakistan and Vietnam provide Hugh consumer market due to growing population stated by  Zakaria Usman, President FPCCI while meeting with  Vu Viet Dzung Second Secretary, Head of Vietnam Trade Mission in Pakistan who visited Federation House on Thursday. The meeting between FPCCI and Vietnam Trade Mission in Karachi was held in connection with the FPCCI trade delegation. A delegation of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), which will be led by President FPCCI, Zakaria Usman will be visiting to Hanoi, Vietnam from 2nd to 7th November 2014. The delegation, consisting of members of Pakistan Vietnam Business Council of FPCCI will be the first ever visit of the private sector to Vietnam, which is being planned, with the close coordination of the Head of Trade Mission of Vietnam. The purpose of the delegation is to promote bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries.

Zakaria Usman also said that Vietnamese market is our target. Pakistani products, Textile, Chemical, Rice Leather, sports goods and surgical instrument are in great demand in Vietnam. He informed that the potential areas identified by our research, include pharmaceutical, surgical items, textile, cotton and yarn, small engineering goods, plastic manufacturing, agricultural products, oil seeds and grains, etc. while importable items from Vietnam to Pakistan include iron & steel, organic chemicals, telecommunication & electrical equipment, spices, etc. The meeting concluded with the presentation of FPCCI create to Vu Viet Dzung Second Secretary, Head of Vietnam Trade Mission in Pakistan.
