HANOI: Vietnamese firm Fimex VN made $83.7 million in cumulative sales in the first eight months of 2015. From January through to August, the group supplied 7,547 metric tons of shrimp — a year-on-year surge of 110%.
The results also coincide with the US Department of Commerce posting its final administrative review on antidumping tax POR9 in September – from which Fimex VN is exempt.
According to CEO Ho Quoc Luc, this will enable the group to create stronger trust among its stateside consumers, with Vietnam shrimp exports to the US expected to rise.
