HANOI: Vietnam, the world’s largest robusta producer, exported 104,000 tonnes (1.73 million bags) of coffee in April, down 20 percent from a month earlier, the Vietnam Customs said on Thursday, in line with market expectations.
April exports brought Vietnam’s total coffee shipment in the first four months of this year to 477,000 tonnes, plunging 40.7 percent from a year ago, the department said in its monthly report.
Traders had forecast April’s coffee exports at 100,000-120,00.
