HANOI: Vietnam’s crude oil exports during January to July fell 21.8 percent from the same period last year to an estimated 4.25 million tonnes, or 146,000 barrels per day (bpd), the government said. Crude oil export revenues in the seven-month period plunged 44.5 percent from a year ago to $1.36 billion, the government’s General Statistics Office said in its monthly report.
Oil product imports rose 25.1 percent in the same period to an estimated 7.38 million tonnes, while the value fell 17.1 percent to $2.83 billion, the office said. Vietnam’s liquefied petroleum gas imports during the seven-month period advanced 16.9 percent from a year ago to 687,000 tonnes, it said.
