LONDON: Vodafone has revealed that it is planning to extend its 4G mobile broadband network to 94% of the Welsh population. Customers in areas including Caerphilly and Cardiff will soon able to access ultrafast speeds.
The investment is part of Vodafone’s £1billion project to deploy 4G to 98% of the UK by the end of the year. It will also aim to make connections more reliable, by providing better indoor and network coverage to both 3G and 4G customers.
Vodafone has recently switched on 4G LTE service in cities and towns across Wales. In February, Bridgend became the 400th community to benefit from faster services and Vodafone’s currently rolling out 4G in Connah’s Quay, Newport, Penarth, Llanelli, Caerphilly and the capital, Cardiff.
