Volvo Car New Zealand general manager Steve Kenchington says the vehicle represents an exciting step towards the future for Volvo in New Zealand.

“The Volvo XC90 wowed the crowds at the Paris Motor Show last October and we are very much looking forward to bringing its advanced features to New Zealand drivers,” Volvo Car NZ general manager Steve Kenchington has said.

Kenchington says the XC90 embodies new heights of performance, luxury and of course safety.

The engineering incorporates the carmaker’s new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform and innovative four-cylinder Drive–E engine technology.

The NZ launch of the Volvo XC90, encompassing D5 and T6 engines with Momentum and Inscription trim levels, along with the T8 Twin Engine Inscription, will be in June with the R-Design variants launched later in the third quarter of 2015.
