Waheed Anwar appointed as media focal person

SIALKOT: Deputy Collector Waheed Anwar Abro will be the focal person to deal the matters of print and electronic media as well other internal and public matters.

Customs official told Customs Today that the appointment of a focal person is very appropriate to deal with media while he will issue press releases and provide news of customs officers’ performance in the print and electronic media.

Sources told that the focal person will keep in contacts with all journalists for news purpose whereas whenever any dignity visit at Sialkot Customs the focal person will invite journalists. Sources told that any other employee of the department will not provide any news to any journalist instead of focal person because its responsibility of focal person.

Sources told that he will authorize to provide contradiction against any news which news publish without any verification. The focal person will also deal internal and public matters related to customs collectorate whereas he authorize to listen complaints related to customs staff of Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) and Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL).

It is learnt that Ahmed Reza Khan appointed focal person after prior permission of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to facilitate the journalists and public.
