KARACHI: Pakistani mobile operator Warid Telecom has launched shared internet plans and a LTE MiFi device. The MiFi device functions as a portable wireless router that can connect up to 10 smartphones, tablets or laptops, Users will have access to Warid’s LTE services on the go in all major cities of Pakistan. The shared plans are available for both prepaid and postpaid customers. Subscribers can choose up to two additional Warid numbers to share an internet plan.
Customers will be charged PKR 9,999 for the MiFi device with an LTE enabled SIM, and 35GB for internet access per month for three months. Customers can then opt for Warid’s MiFi Smart, Extra or Ultra tariff plans, which include 15GB, 20GB, and 35GB for internet traffic, respectively. The MiFi Smart plan is available for PKR 1,500 per month, while the Extra and Ultra variants cost PKR 2,000 and PKR 3,000 per month.
