WASA completes 50pc work of Nullah Leh project

RAWALPINDI: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has finished 50 percent work of dredging of Nullah Leh. The project was started in the last month. The remaining work is expected to be completed before the Monsoon season.
WASA Managing Director Raja Shaukat Mahmood said that while he along with WASA Deputy Managing Director Amir Rasheed visited Dhoke Naju and Phagwari Bridge to inspect the scope of work on Nullah Leh dredging.

He said that the staff have already excavated and dumped more than 0.55 million cubic feet material from Nullah Leh to outside the city.
He said that all the excavated material is being shifted on daily basis with help of dumper trucks in the evening.
Expressing his satisfaction, Raja Shaukat said that he has issued special directions to the labourers and staff that all the remaining work should be completed on time, so that before monsoon all the hurdles/impediments in flow of Nullah Leh could be cleared.
