LAHORE: The Watan Party has filed an appeal in the Lahore High Court (LHC) to stop generation of electricity from coal in Sahiwal. The application is submitted by chairman Watan Party Barrister Zafar Ullah Khan.
The Watan Party has urged the government that after inauguration of coal power project, corbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide will be generated that also become reason to spread diseases to harm human life.
The appellant also argued that poisonous gases can spread about 200 kilometers areas that is dangerous for human health.
India generating electricity from coal at Rajisthan the effects reaching in Pakistan (Karachi) so, Court issued should order to stop coal power project in Sahiwal.
