Water crisis causes shut down of processing units in Karachi

Karachi:  Water crisis has shut down many processing unites in Karachi’s Industrial areas which reduced export of the country.

Muhammad Fizane who belong to textile occupation told Customs today reporter “10 processing unites out of 30 have been closed within 3 month because of water crises in Industrial areas”. On the other hand export of products has reduced to 60 percent.

Among these unites include Azeem Dining Miles, D Diners, Gulzar Hosiery, Yusuf Processing Unites, Habib and Ansary textile miles. Owing to water crisis North Karachi industrial areas received water only in 2 days in a week. As a result of water crisis Hassan hydrant has increased the price of water from Rs 1500 to Rs 2500 on account of shut down of Mutsel Saba Cinema hydrant.
