WB, IMF annual meetings from 7th

ISLAMABAD: The annual meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group are scheduled to be held in Washington, DC from October 7 to 9.

Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will represent Pakistan and will lead the Pakistan delegation at the Annual Meetings.

According to World Bank message, the event would bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, representatives from civil society organizations and academics.

The participants will discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness.

Also featured are seminars, regional briefings, press conferences, and many other events focused on the global economy, international development, and the world’s financial system.  Press registration office for participating in the event has also been established and the journalists fulfilling the criteria have been asked to register themselves online.
