Wear face mask or face fine of Rs500 fine within premises of AFU, JIAP

KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs  Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) Sabir Jamal has issued office order announcing wearing of mask mandatory within premises of Air Freight Unit (AFU) of Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) Karachi.

The office order read as “it has been viewed that the instructions issued earlier regarding social distancing and wearing of face masks to avoid spread of COVID-19, are not being followed in letter and spirit.

Now, it has been decided that if any person found without wearing face mask, within the premises of Air Freight Unit, Jinnah International Airport, Karachi shall be penalized to the extend of Rs500/-.

Earlier, one June 6,  Collectorate of Customs Allama Iqbal International Airport Additioal Collector Muhammad Nayyer Shaiq issued directives to wear face mask during visit to Air Freight Unit (AFU).

According to office order issued by the additional collector read “in order to contain the spread of Corona Virus Covid-19 pandemic, it is directed that no person will be allowed entrance in the Air Freight Unit (AFU) building without face mask and gloves. He further directed that these instructions should be implemented in letter and spirit.
