WeBOC training will improve performance of clearing agents: Collector Qurban Ali

PESHAWAR: Collector Customs Peshawar Qurban Ali Khan has assured the customs clearing agents that their problems relating to WeBOC (Web based One Custom) at Torkham border would be addressed at the earliest.

He gave this assurance at a ceremony held to distribute certificates among the clearing agents participated in WeBOC training here at Customs House.

A meeting of the assistant collector Customs Torkham and clearing agents would be convened shortly to address their problems at Customs House.

Qurban Ali Khan said that Customs Department had no benefit from WeBOC; however, we want to bring a system at one level to import the trading activities at both side of the border. The WeBOC system would now be also introduced at Kharlachi border point.

He hoped that the WeBOC training would improve the performance of  the clearing agents.

Later the clearing agents apprised the Customs officials about shortage of Customs staff, computers and internet connections. The Customs official said that their problem were genuine and would be resolved on priority basis
