Weekly SPI inflation increases by 2.89pc

KARACHI: During the week ended October 23, 2014, the weekly Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) inflation increased by 2.89 per cent, as per the provisional data, released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

The data reveals that Sensitive Price Indicator for the week under review was recorded at 215.86 points against 209.79 over the same period of 2013. The inflation decrease reflected an increase in prices of some essential goods. SPI inflation decreased by 0.33 per cent this week as compared to the previous week, coming down from 216.58 points to 215.86 points.
