West Tanjung Jabung Customs seizes illegal goods from Malaysian freighter

JAKARTA: The West Tanjung Jabung Customs and Excise Office in Jambi has impounded a freighter from Malaysia, Sinar Rizki, believed to be carrying illegal cargo not listed in the vessel’s manifest.

According to authorities, the vessel was carrying cargo without official documents. It was laden with soya beans, prayer papers and gunny sacks.We have been berthing here for two days after sailing from Malaysia and we are still waiting for orders to unload,” said boat crew member Herman on Friday.
