LONDON: WhatsApp now lets you report spam any new unwanted user simultaneously in addition to blocking. The report states that this new feature was added somewhere between version 2.12.12 and 2.12.30. The new update for iOS already has this feature. The old interface let you manually only block unwanted users. If the user was blocked by many, then they would be temporarily or permanently banned from the service.

Now, you can report spam and block users in just one step. The old option to ‘Block’ or ‘Add’ someone used to appear on top, but it has now disappeared. You can still choose to manually only block from the more option if you want to.

WhatsApp recently also rolled out voice calling for iPhone users. It is still not clear how the activation will begin for iPhone users, but we expect it to work in a similar phased manner like Android. WhatsApp even celebrated crossing the 800 million active users milestone just a few days ago, having added 100 million in just three months.
