Why you should shake hands if you want a good deal even with a robot

LONDON: Shaking hands is a vital component for successful business negotiations, even if the handshake is done through a humanoid robot avatar called NAO, researchers from the University of Bath in England reported.

A research team at the University’s Department of Psychology said we already know that the act of shaking hands when a business talk begins creates better trust and a desire to cooperate.
