“Safeguarding public interests is top priority of the government,” PM Khan said at the meeting. “It is the responsibility of the state to take care of underprivileged class of the society.”

He said the direction for national development had been identified and the coming times would bring prosperity with them.

“[We are] making every possible effort to steer the country out of crisis. It is hoped that economic and financial challenges would be overcome in the next few months,” the prime minister said.

He said they believed in the rule of the constitution and law, adding, “Neither we will become a hurdle in the way of accountability, nor will we let anyone become”.
