NEW YORK: Microsoft’s window 10 operating system was launched on the 30th of September, 2014. This operating system was first introduced at the Build Conference in April, 2014 as a response to the abnormalities and bugs detected in its previous operating system, the Windows 8. All the adjustments and added features were designed to improve the user experience for non-touchscreen devices.

Users can get the windows 10 operating system for free especially if they are a previous user of windows 8. The first step to take is to visit the Windows insider program page, once there, users will need to create or sign up for an account by scrolling right down to the bottom of the page, then click the Get Started button. Users will then see a button that says “join now,” click on it and then sign in with user Microsoft account. After signing in, a Link that says “Install Technical Preview,” Click on it.
After that, on the next page – multiple links to the Windows 10 technical preview of the 32bit and 64bit versions. Just click on the language you want and then click download, your download will commence immediately.
How to install Windows 10:
The downloaded program comes in an ISO file format, you can choose to install by double clicking on the Setup.exe file. There are situations where you might not be able to install the ISO file, you will need to download and install a mounting program like the Power ISO. The Power ISO program can be downloaded free of charge, but it must be installed by selecting Custom installation.
After installing the ISO file, mount the Windows 10 ISO file so as to access the install file. You can begin the mounting process while on the Power ISO program by selecting the number of drives to create, you only need to set it as Drive 1, and then click on the mount image button. Next, find the Windows 10 technical preview ISO file and then mount it.
Once you are done with the Windows ISO file mounting process, go to my computer, you should see the ISO file appear as a selectable drive. You will then need to double click on this drive and then double click on “Setup.exe” to start the installation process. The installation process normally takes a while, usually a few minutes, but you must be prepared for this process because it could be lengthy. You will be given an option of retaining or deleting your previous files and folders while upgrading to Windows 10.
If your Laptop or desktop computer is in the right working condition, the installation process should take you about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. At the later stages of the installations, you will be required to adjust some basic settings.
The interface of Window 10 is really more user friendly as compared to the previous version. The reintroduction of the Start Button brought nostalgic memories to a lot of users of the Microsoft operating system.
